4-C: Community Coordinated Child Care

CPR/First Aid Funds for CCAP Providers Only

Providers either currently being paid by the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) or who have a pending case through CCAP are eligible for a one-time CPR/First Aid fee waiver for classes offered through 4-C, or one-time reimbursement for classes taken outside of 4-C.  Classes must be taken between July 1, 2018-June 30, 2019. Child care centers serving families on the Child Care Assistance Program can receive reimbursement to pay for a CPR/First Aid instructor to provide training on-site or off-site for required staff.

For Classes Offered Through 4-C

One-time free class is available for providers who take CPR and First Aid classes through 4-C.

Who is Eligible: A one-time free CPR/First Aid training through 4-C is open for providers caring for families on the 4-C CCAP caseload or working in a child care center serving CCAP families in Carroll, DeKalb, Lee, McHenry, Ogle, or Whiteside counties.  Training fee is waived for those providers who are required to complete the CCAP training requirements.

Please note: Relative family child care providers caring for school age (SA) children only, family child care assistants, and others with roles not applicable are not eligible.

To register: CCAP providers registering for a CPR and First Aid Class offered through 4-C are able to register online, by phone or mail.  Providers must check the box stating that they are a CCAP provider and check the box requesting a one-time waiver for the CPR/First Aid class.  Eligibility to be verified by 4-C.  Reimbursement is available for providers taking CPR and First Aid outside of 4-C (see below).

Limited space is available. Spots are offered on a first come, first served basis.

For Classes Outside of 4-C
