Expectant and New Parents are invited to participate in sessions designed to support their role as a new parent.

Expectant Parents Class

  • Parents who are pregnant or anticipating an adoption may attend parenting sessions especially designed for new parents.
  • Parents meet with a Parent Educator in their home, the 4-C office or another location to discuss preparing their home for a child, anticipatory guidance, child development and many other topics.
  • 4-C utilizes the Baby TALK curriculum that supports early literacy and the importance of parent/child bonding.
  • Expectant parents receive information for as long as requested as they parent their child during the early years.

New Parent Class

  • Parents with children aged birth to three years receive parenting sessions developed to support them during the very important early years.
  • 4-C utilizes the Baby TALK curriculum to support early parenting, including literacy development, anticipatory guidance, understanding and observing developmental milestones, and many other topics of interest to the family.
  • Parents receive services on a limited or long-term basis depending on their interests.
