Gardening in Early Childhood
Gardening provides an opportunity to expose a child early in life to the wonders of science, the ability to try fresh produce, and more. Discussion of childhood obesity and the positive impact the inclusion of nutrition education can have. During this training, you will receive resources to implement a garden component in your child care environment. Gardening doesn’t mean you need a plot of land; you can easily use containers. Children love to play in the dirt so why not have it be productive and lead to feeding them!
