Invisible in Plain Sight: Seeing the Child We May Overlook
This reflective and engaging training explores the children who may be physically present in early learning environments but are sometimes overlooked in the busyness of the day. Participants will examine how quiet, compliant, independent, or less demanding children can receive less intentional adult attention than children whose behaviors require immediate response. Through curiosity, reflection, and scenario-based discussion, participants will explore what may be showing up for the child, what may be showing up for the adult, and how relationships, classroom environments, routines, and adult expectations influence who gets noticed. The session emphasizes intentional observation, connection, belonging, and relationship-based practices to help ensure that every child is seen, heard, and supported.
