Power to the Profession: What it is, Why it Matters, and Next Steps

Are you a passionate early childhood professional who understands the importance of your work but feels like society does not recognize the value of early childhood education? Do you feel undercompensated for the work you do?  Are you ready to have your voice heard? Come learn about the National Association for the Education of Young Children’s Power to the Profession initiative and how you can become engaged in this important work. During this two-hour session, you will be provided with a summary of the Power to the Profession initiative, updates on current decision cycles and an opportunity to discuss ideas and concerns to inform future decision cycles. The goal of this workshop is to inform participants of this collaborative national initiative and provide participants with the knowledge and resources to be actively engaged in making a difference in improving the early childhood field.
