This reflective and engaging training explores the concept of the “hidden curriculum”—the unspoken lessons children learn through daily interactions, environments, and adult responses. While curriculum often focuses on academic or developmental goals, children are constantly learning about relationships, expectations, identity, and belonging through what we model, reinforce, and overlook. Participants will examine how routines, tone, discipline practices, and classroom environments communicate powerful messages to young children. This session emphasizes intentionality, equity, and relationship-based practices to ensure that what children are learning aligns with what we hope to teach.
