Early childhood educators play a critical role in shaping the social and emotional development of young children, but to do so effectively, they must first nurture their own well-being. This training explores the foundational role of adult social-emotional learning (SEL)-self-awareness, self-management, social awareness, relationship skills and responsible decision making-as they relate to their roles as caregivers and educators. Through reflective activities, discussion and practical strategies, this training will support educators in strengthening their own emotional resilience, building strong connections with children and families, and fostering a culture of empathy and collaboration in their program.
